Delodovici earned a BA in English in 1978 from what is now Cal State East Bay University in Haywood, Calif., graduating with honors. Rico J. Delodovici returned to school to attend San Francisco’s Golden Gate University, where he earned a Certificate in Accounting in 1992, again graduating with honors.

Rico J. Delodovici is proud of his high-school and college athletic career. At Balboa High School, San Francisco, Rico J. Delodovici was an outstanding football player and track and field star. He won the Pterodactyl Award for outstanding play and leadership. In 1973, Rico J. Delodovici was named to the San Francisco Examiner All City Team and was named Coaches All Conference at Center. That same year, Rico J. Delodovici ’s team, the Balboa Buccaneers, went undefeated, ultimately claiming the Academic Athletic Association Championship. In Track and Field at Balboa, Rico J. Delodovici was top-six in shot put and discus for three consecutive years, setting a discus record that went unbroken for several seasons.
Rico J. Delodovici also played junior college football for the City College of San Francisco, where he was named Most Valuable Offensive Lineman in 1976, an honor all the more impressive given that Rico J. Delodovici was one of the smallest linemen in the Golden Gate Conference.
More recently, Rico J. Delodovici has been an adherent of Tai Chi and Total Immersion swimming, which emphasizes mindfulness and skill. Rico J. Delodovici also studies the Alexander Technique, which emphasizes effortless movement and posture in everyday life.
