Presentation at the online conference Library 2.011: Open Education runs the gamut from using open access materials in the classroom to learning that is taking place outside of educational institutions in self-selecting and self-designing learning communities. What does it mean for libraries, especially academic and public libraries, if learners are using openly accessible, and even remixable, materials? What if large numbers of independent scholars appear with university level needs? How do we choose what to catalog, and what if we're interested in a remixable resource, that could accumulate versions with every user? Links to recording and slides in comments.
