I currently serve as Research Director for the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice in Indianapolis. I joined the Foundation in September 2006, and my research includes surveys and polling on K-12 education issues. I also manage and edit all other research projects commissioned by the foundation.
Before moving to Indiana, I was assistant director for the Brown Center on Education Policy at the Brookings Institution, working there for more than six years. I was a research analyst for the first five issues of the Brown Center Report on American Education (2000-2004), and managed the activities of the National Working Commission on Choice in K-12 Education (2001-2005).
A native of Pittsburgh, I attended the University of Dayton as an undergraduate and received an M.A. in political science from the University of Illinois.
Special interests are surveys, polling, and Web projects.
