Michael Fertik and ReputationDefender have launched a campaign to help women who have been victimized on a website called "AutoAdmit.com" (also called "xoxohth.com") for approximately two years. Until recently, when ReputationDefender effected the repeated removal of photographs of its clients from the site, many of the same women were being victimized on a related "contest" web page purporting to rank the "Most Appealing Women at Top Law Schools." This "contest" and associated discussion threads on AutoAdmit have featured sexually explicit and humiliating commentary on digital photographs stolen from various friends-only accounts. Women have had their job prospects reduced, been humiliated in front of their peers and professional colleagues, and been sexually objectified before an audience of thousands. Not only have the owners of the website AutoAdmit allowed it to be used to harass and degrade women, they have actively shielded the harassers behind a veil of anonymity. This article from the New York Post details a tragic story and how ReputationDefender has helped this family. "THIS past Halloween, 18-year-old Nikki Catsouras was killed in a car crash. A few days later, Catsouras' teenage cousin - answering a text message - flipped open her cellphone and was confronted with a picture of the mortally wounded Nikki, who suffered massive head trauma and lost most of her face and head, at the scene. "While Catsouras was still being mourned, more pictures from the scene were anonymously posted on the dead girl's formerly benign MySpace page, and they are now - without the family's consent, which is not needed - being used in at least one criminal-law class at a local community college." ... "One of the ways liberals hope to regain that ground is by following the conservative model of running and financially supporting candidates in local races. The Campaign for a National Majority (CNM), spearheaded by Harvard Law School students Michael Fertik and Daniel Richenthal, aims to accomplish just that — with the added bonus of involving young people in the process. The group began about a year and a half ago, when Fertik, 25, and Richenthal, 27, recognized the absence of Democratic efforts to reach out to young, professional liberals. Fertik's Law states: Increasing entropy geometrically increases arbitrage opportunities. In other words: More products and more relationships among products result directly in more arbitrage possibilities, and they do so at a geometric rate, faster than a simple arithmetic increase.
