Jon M Queen

Jon Queen advises clients on a wide variety of transactional, legal and environmental matters including emissions trading, project finance, corporate structuring and regulatory issues. His project focus is Europe and Asia. Jon typically assists clients with deal origination, structuring, procedural and legal analysis related to the carbon offset and project markets, specializing in projects that generate CERs and ERUs under the Kyoto Protocol as well as voluntary credits under the WWF’s Gold Standard and the Voluntary Carbon Standard. Prior to becoming involved in the carbon, environmental and energy markets, Jon was a lawyer at Latham & Watkins LLP and a registered financial services representative for John Hancock. He also worked briefly on Capitol Hill for the House Banking and Financial Services Committee during the Clinton administration. Jon holds degrees in Economics from Cornell University and in Law from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Certificate of Study in Business & Public Policy from Wharton Business School. In addition to English, Mr. Queen has proficient French and basic Russian language ability.
