Ira’s career began in journalism working as a photojournalist with the Associated Press, covering world events and garnering a Pulitzer Prize nomination. He later formed Gostin Productions to create dynamic photography for top companies with his unique style of visual storytelling that brought him nationwide acclaim and many Fortune 500 clients. Ira won several awards for his photography ranging from Addies to Craftsman to other citations of excellence and he is the recipient of an Eastman Fellowship.

A sought after speaker and educator, he conducts workshops and lectures across the country on topics including marketing, business, customer service, and photography. For five years Ira was an adjunct professor of photojournalism at the Reynolds School of Journalism, University of Nevada, Reno. He regularly lectures at the journalism and business colleges at the university.

Ira holds a Masters of Business Administration with honors from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Education with minor in Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

He maintains membership in the National Press Photographers Association, the American Marketing Association and the Business Marketing Association. Ira is involved in the community as an advisor to the Reno Philharmonic and volunteer at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. In 2008 Ira received an ACE award for outstanding marketing by the American Marketing Association’s Reno-Tahoe chapter.
