David Calvert is a visual storyteller in Reno, Nev. specializing in corporate and editorial photojournalism.
He plays slow-pitch softball, likes clean backgrounds and self-deprecating humor.
He has been recognized by the Associated Press, Eddie Adams Workshop and Missouri Photo Workshop for his excellence in visual storytelling. And the Gannett Corporation, who awarded him a Pulliam Fellowship at The Arizona Republic.
David is the team photographer for the Reno Aces and Reno Bighorns. And tournament photographer for the Reno-Tahoe Open.
David has taught photojournalism and online news and reporting at the University of Nevada, Reno's Reynolds School of Journalism.

When David isn't in Reno, he is in Half Moon Bay, Calif. soaking up the fog and eating organic tomatoes. Someday he hopes to throw a knuckleball. And he has a gray cat named Bulette.
